When you have been injured at work follow these steps:
Report your injury to your employer.
Your employer has the right to direct your medical treatment; ask your employer where to go for help.
Tell your health care provider that your injury is work related and give them the name of your employer;
As soon as possible give written notice to your employer of your injury (We can help you do this);
Follow your physician's orders for medical treatment.
If you are out of work for seven consecutive days you are entitled to compensation (payment of lost wages) at the rate of 66 2/3 of your average weekly wage. It is important that your average weekly wage is calculated correctly because all payments will be based on your average weekly wage and resulting compensation rate.
